Intel Xeon W3520 Max Temp
The temperature in the table above is the absolute maximum temperature (Tmax), as a general rule you have to keep your temps 10-15 degrees lower under load, and 30-40 degrees lower when system is idle.
That can't be right. My W3520 works fine up to about 95ºC which is the highest I've ever got it to, and the fan doesn't even start running until around 75ºC.
ReplyDeleteHmm... 67.9°C is the official max temp, by Intel. Probably the official temp is wrong.
DeleteOr your temperature sensor may malfunction.
I've done some research, and it seems that you may be right, a lot of people have temps way over 67.9°C...
DeleteI updated the post, with approximately 95°C as max temp
hi, 67.9 C is ambient max temp for case
ReplyDeleteWhat's normal usage temperature?
